| Yesterday I arrived to Waco to pay for my summer tuition. I brought all my things back to the apt and unpacked. I brought Jake to keep me company since my roommate wouldnt move in until Friday. My roommate came over to meet me and we hit it off. We talked for hours and I told her that she can start moving her stuff to the apt since she had to be moved out of her old apt by Saturday at noon. She did, she brought all her clothes and we were talking when we hear a knock on our door. We both looked at each other as if asking "are you expecting someone?". We open the door and its the cleaning lady, she was going to clean Amy's room for the new roommate. At 7pm at night.. okay. We told her to not worry about it b/c Kristin had cleaned it. We didnt want to tell her that we were already moving her stuff in. So we went back to unpacking when we hear another knock at the door. We again looked at each other, we looked through the hole in the door to see who it was. It was a guy, great another worker. We open the door, and he said that he lived below us and how his truck got stolen. He keeped on talking and we felt really bad for him, but he said that the guy had been caught but he needed a chain for his truck. We told him we didnt have one, so he left. Nothing too weird about this story, right? WRONG. His story didnt make any sense: he said that the cops were downstairs, we saw no cop cars. He said that he and his roommate were making a statement, dont you do that before the guy is caught usually after you find your car missing? Also he kept looking inside our apt, and at Jake who I was holding so he wouldnt get out. Kristin then left after 10pm, and I was pretty tired myself. I call Robert and as I'm telling him this story the more shady I found it. He told me to make sure everything was locked. After that Kristin called me around 11pm saying she kept thinking about the weird guy. She called Sterling security to let them know what happen and to keep an eye out for anything suspicious around my apt. I went to the office the next day and asked if a hispanic male lived below us and Lisa said that no hispanic male lived in our building. I told her what happened and she said that she saw it in the news that people were doing that at other student housings. She said that a girl in building 4 opened the door and the guy took her money. Also that guys go knocking on peoples doors with some made up story in order to gain access to the apt. They're even doing it in daylight. She was surprised but very relieved he didnt try anything. She didnt know I had Jake with me. The guy must have backed down when he saw that I wasnt alone and on top of that had a big wolf dog with a muzzle on him holding him down. (I put the muzzle on him when he's bad, or too excited for his own good). It was our stupid mistake for opening the door, but apparently we werent the only ones just the lucky ones who werent harmed. I know, stupid stupid stupid. Just wanted to let you all know, that people like that are out there. So keep a look out for people like that. They've broken into Bear Grounds and apts in that area meaning all student housings. Whats even more creepy, they stalk people and mostly go towards females. | | |
| I like it when it rains, but not when it rains everyday... Today is date night and we planned on going to this store plaza in Plano, it's really pretty to walk around and they have live music and really romantic but with the rain we probably wont be able to go. We're going out to Abuelo's and then to the movies to see Pirates! I'm excited. The carnival's in town, we want to go after the movie, hopefully it'll stop raining by then. I like being back home, there's so much to do (when weather permits). I decided that I wont work this summer, instead I'll be volunteering at Texas Children's Hospital and a shelter for families affected by domestic violence. I start next week! Tomorrow Robert's brother is having his first communion or something of the sort. So I will be in Fort Worth with his family which will be nice since I haven't seen them since I got back. Sunday my parents and I are going to "The Dump!". I keep hearing on the radio how they sell new furniture for 70% less than the actual stores because they get the left overs or something like that. My parents are wanting to get new living room furniture so we're going to check it out.
Oh new pet peeve, when kids are constantly getting up from their seats to go talk to their friends in the back of the theatre. Last week Robert and I went to see Spiderman 3 (good movie) and these kids in front of us kept eaither getting up from their seats or waving their hand in the air so their friends could see. People were also annoyed by this that finally someone who worked there asked them to leave. | | |
| So far right now, its nice being home. By that I mean no 10pm curfew or dumb restrictions that not even high school kids have these days. I'm looking for a job, but it's hard when they figure out I'm only here for 3 months. Right now I'm waiting for Robert to get off work to have dinner together and maybe do something but I want to watch Gray's Anatomy (it's the season finale!). Jake's loving it here so I might not take him back to Waco, besides the new roommate doesnt like animals so problem solved.
Random things: I am learning how to cook I have started doing yoga again. Krispy Kreme's the best I am playing the guitar again Jake got neutered Dog parks are fun until your dog gets fleas

| BIGGEST UPSET of Idol season, she did not deserve to be eliminated. Blake should have been the one to leave. | | |
| So this morning we were all rudely woken up by the stupid fire alarms. Ok i lied, Amy and I were but Cass was in the showers. I'm not sure if Jake enjoyed it, he wouldnt stop howling. In my weight training class we played "crab soccer"?? Never played it in my life, never even heard of it. Apparently it's a game little kids loved playing. You just dont have that kind of energy when you're older. I'm already stressing about the future, I dont know when this happened. Robert's staying another year, so I must decide whether I stay another year with him or go to grad school. I'd be giving up a whole year so I need some kind of reassurance that we will have a future. Now, am I ready for that? I'm already getting cold feet. Even if we were to get married, it'd be years from now. So why must we decide now? *sigh. Jake got a nose bleed. I was studying in my room (writing this post) with the door open and he was in the living room. I look up and see is a small puddle of blood on the tile floor with spots of blood surrounding it. He had a few blood stains on his coat, so I had no idea where the blood came from. It scared me so much. I'm still concerned, I've never heard of a dog nose bleed. He seems fine now, I'm going to have to keep watching him. The last thing I want is another dead animal, especially one I'm so close to. | | |
